Social, Humanitarian & Community Impact

At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to creating positive and lasting change within communities everywhere. We believe that true impact comes from not only addressing the immediate needs of individuals but also long-term solutions that uplift lives.

Our approach leverages a deep bench of key partnerships, a robust faith-based network, and a focus on flourishing communities to ensure that your investment serves those in need. By collaborating with ministries like Apartment Life and Marketplace Chaplains, we can build meaningful relationships and love our neighbors in practical ways.

Additionally, we provide pathways to homeownership, promote life-saving education, and encourage on-site volunteering through the AARE network. With every initiative, we aim to bring hope, stewardship, and green innovation to the forefront, ensuring that our efforts contribute to both social welfare and environmental sustainability. Together, we can create a thriving, supportive community for all.

One of our multi-family partners specializes in providing safe housing to immigrants and refugees. They currently serve over 3,000 residents from over 40 countries. Below is one example of how they serve their residents:

Stories of Impact

One of the first families I visited was a single mother with six children. During my first visit, I remember seeing a sign of relief in her eyes when she realized that I spoke her language, was there to help her with any challenges she might face, and that I spoke English.

She told me that despite being in the U.S. for over 3 months, none of her kids had started school. When I asked her if she knew her case manager’s phone number, I realized that she couldn’t even operate her phone. She had to ask one of her small children to help look up the number. Unfortunately, I was able to find the name and the number of her case manager, but I couldn’t get in touch with them.

Through Launch’s relationships with the resettlement agency, we were able to discover that the case manager had sent her all the information she needed to send her children to school through a text message. The mother couldn’t use a cell phone or read English and sadly, the case manager never followed up to ensure the kids were attending school.

After hearing all this, the agency promptly sent someone to clearly explain and show the mother where and when to wait for the school bus to pick up and drop off the kids, along with the specific bus number they needed to take. Even after this, I followed up to ensure she understood what needed to be done.

A week later, during my follow-up with her, I discovered that the kids had missed several days of school because their mother didn’t know how to tell time. I took charge and taught her how to read time and set an alarm on her phone for when to take the kids to the bus stop and pick them up. She told me that sometimes, she goes and sits at the bus stop for “a very long time” because she is afraid to miss the bus. Now that she has an alarm to rely on, her kids are attending school with no problem.
